Not many people get to marry their best friend but I did. William Andrew Alden is my best friend, lover, and husband. I love him to pieces and he loves me to pieces. We are a great team and can accomplish anything this world throws at us.
I met Will my Sophomore Year of College at Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was my friend’s roommate. I told her that I thought he was cute. After that everything is history. He was sweet and kind. He use to call me his Sugar Momma because he had just moved back to Utah and didn’t have a job yet and I helped him by work shoes for his job at Einstein’s.
He asked me to marry him on Christmas day 2010. I said yes. And we proceeded with the marriage choas. We had up and downs during the wedding planning but we still remained best of friends.
We were married on August 13, 2011, the day was hot and beautiful. We were married at a beautiful place called Vernal White House, now it is Strata Network. We were surrounded by friends and family from all over. It was beautiful and the perfect day for us.
Thanks to the amazing Leah Osiek (a.k.a. Granny) we were able to go to Hawaii for a week for our honeymoon. It was amazing. We snorkeled (Will turns out to be terrified of snorkeling and the unknown depths below). We went on a submarine and an island tour. It was a fantastic time.
When we got back reality set in. I only had a part time job. All that I could find at the time. I eventually got a full time job. Will got his job at Contractors and he has been there ever since.
We have been through a lot these 9 years of marriage and 12 years of love. One thing remains; he is my best friend. We will always be together and tackle things together.
Sailboats and Unicorns 
I remember when Sonnee called to tell me about this boy she met named William but she was so busy with school and 2 part time jobs . Within a week she was back on the phone telling me that William was going to be the guy she married and that’s exactly what she did. When Sonnee was born my wish for her was to find a guy that loved her more than life and Will is that guy. I don’t have to worry about her cause Will will always be her knight in shinning armor. I count my blessings everyday and I count them twice for God giving him to us not only as Sonnee husband, Madilynn’s daddy but also our son. Love you Will bunches ❤️💕
